1/2 cup uncooked orzo pasta
2 Tbsp olive oil
4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
15 grape tomatoes (about 2 cups), cut in half
2 Tbsp tomato paste
4 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
1 bag Green Giant™ Fresh Italian Vegetable Blend
4 cups chicken broth
1 Tbsp dried basil leaves
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1. Cook pasta as directed on package; drain. Set aside.
2. In Dutch oven, heat oil over medium heat. Add garlic; cook 1-2 minutes or until starting to brown. Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, sugar and pepper flakes; mix well. Stir in vegetable blend and broth. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer 4-5 minutes or until kale is wilted. Stir in pasta, basil, salt and pepper. Heat 1 minute longer or until heated through.
