• Chives

Chives are a member of the onion family and are slightly aromatic. These flavorful stems are a great addition to any meal! Chives are a delicious addition to almost any meal, but the combination of them with potatoes is simply fantastic. Chop up and mix into mashed potatoes or snip fresh chives right over a baked potato. They’ll add just the right amount of flavor and freshness!

Care & Handling

Selection: 

Look for chives that are bright green in color and a uniform size. Avoid chives that are wilted, torn or discolored.

Storage: 

Wrap fresh chives in a damp towel and store them in a plastic bag in the refrigerator. Wash thoroughly just before use.

Preparation: 

Chives can be prepared in a variety of ways, from chopped and mixed into dips or snipped over baked potatoes.
